The police officer retirement gift watch is made from a slice of Douglas-fir tree and shows an annual ring for each year that the officer served. The watch can be custom engraved with an image of the officer’s badge. This particular design will require a graphic of the badge/emblem that you would like engraved. Each of the annual rings represents one year of the tree's life. Watches are crafted from Douglas-fir trees harvested from forests of western Montana. The wood dials are hand selected for their beauty and unique annual tree ring history. With a half century of growth rings on each timepiece, hours, minutes, and seconds are juxtaposed against years. Underneath each wood dial sits a Swiss made quartz movement. The watch is enclosed by a high quality stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal. A slice of a tree is a snapshot of its life history. As such, every tree is unique and will vary in appearance.
